    Diamondbacks released RHP Shane Carle.
Carle, 29, has been at Triple-A in three different organizations this season, holds a 5.18 ERA over 27 appearances. He’ll now look for a fourth.

Diamondbacks signed RHP Shane Carle to a minor-league contract.
Carle spent time with the Mariners and Reds organizations, making 21 relief appearances at the Triple-A level earlier this season. He’ll serve as organizational relief depth moving forward.

    Mariners released RHP Shane Carle.
Carle signed a minor league deal with Seattle just a few weeks ago and had made two scoreless relief appearances with the club’s Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma, but he is now back on the open market. The 29-year-old right-hander has not pitched in a game at the major legue level since he yielded 10 earned runs over 9 1/3 innings of relief with the Braves in 2019.

Reds signed RHP Shane Carle to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Carle did not pitch professionally in 2020 and surrendered 10 earned runs over just 9 1/3 innings of work with the Braves in 2019. The 29-year-old seems doubtful to crack the Opening Day roster in Cincinnati.

Rangers sent RHP Shane Carle outright to Triple-A Nashville.
Carle cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and will remain in the organization as relief depth.

Rangers designated RHP Shane Carle for assignment.
They needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Luke Farrell. Carle was acquired from the Braves last month after they had designated him for assignment. He could clear waivers.

Rangers activated RHP Kyle Dowdy from the 10-day injured list; designated him for assignment.
That clears a roster spot for Shane Carle, who Texas acquired Thursday in a trade with Atlanta. Dowdy landed on the injured list with an elbow impingement last month but it appears he’s conquered that hurdle. A Rule 5 pick, Dowdy will be returned to Cleveland if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Rangers acquired RHP Shane Carle from the Braves for cash considerations; optioned him to Triple-A Nashville.
It took Carle just over 24 hours to resurface after being designated for assignment. To clear a roster spot for him, Texas activated Kyle Dowdy from the injured list, then promptly DFA’d him. Carle was useful in a setup role last season, but hasn’t had the same success in 2019, contributing an ugly 9.64 ERA in six appearances out of the Braves’ pen. Perhaps he’ll benefit from a change of scenery in Texas, though Globe Life Park is a notoriously hitter-friendly venue.

Braves designated RHP Shane Carle for assignment.
Carle hasn’t been with the Braves since May, and he was atrocious when he was up with Atlanta to the tune of a 9.64 ERA over 9 1/3 innings. The move is necessary since the Braves need room on the 40-man roster after purchasing the contract of Jeremy Walker. if Carle goes unclaimed, he’ll likely report back to Triple-A Gwinnett, but he also could elect free agency.

Braves optioned RHP Shane Carle to Triple-A Gwinnett.
No word on the corresponding move, though Jonny Venters, who has been rehabbing a strained calf in the minor leagues, could be a candidate to take his vacant roster spot. Carle got absolutely annihilated in Thursday’s loss to San Diego, allowing six hits and five earned runs in his lone inning of work. He’s logged a dreadful 9.64 ERA over 9 1/3 innings out of the Braves’ pen this year.
