Cowboys signed Miami C Shane McDermott.
McDermott (6'4/301) made 36 starts at The U, all at center and earned first-team All-ACC accolades from the conference’s coaches as a senior. A below-average athlete, McDermott managed a 5.42 forty with an 8-foot-7 broad jump and 27 1/2-inch vertical at the Hurricanes’ Pro Day. Limited in both strength and movement skills, McDermott’s ceiling is a versatile interior “swing” reserve.
