The United States men’s national team is leading Ecuador 1-0 at halftime of Thursday’s Copa America Centenario quarterfinal in Seattle.

Clint Dempsey has the U.S. goal, as Bobby Wood dragged the Ecuador defense through the 18 before working the ball to Jermaine Jones.

The Colorado Rapids man crossed a hard ball into the mix, and Dempsey rose to bury a header past Alexander Dominguez.

John Brooks has picked up where he left off against Paraguay, with decisive tackles and 50/50 wins, while Wood has been a dynamic part of the attack.

Ale Bedoya was stopped by Dominguez on the doorstep in the 42nd minute, and Brad Guzan did the same on a streaking Michael Arroyo in stoppage time.
