The second Bruce Arena era in USMNT history gets its first match on Jan. 29, 2017 at 4 p.m. EDT.

That’s when the Yanks will hit the pitch in San Jose to host Serbia in an off-cycle game.

The U.S. has not faced Serbia, though it is 0-2 in history against predecessor Yugoslavia.

It’s an FA Cup weekend in England, but don’t expect to see Nemanja Matic, Dusan Tadic, Branislav Ivanovic or Aleksandar Kolarov.

On the flip side, the Americans’ January camp is generally an all-MLS unit, so it will be a good chance for some of the “misfits” of the Jurgen Klinsmann era to declare their intention to get back in the NT mix.
