Juventus has travelled to Bavaria with a shorthanded squad ahead of their Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The first leg ended a 2-2 draw in Turin, leaving Max Allegri’s men an uphill battle even before the injuries hit.

Top scorer Paulo Dybala and veteran midfielder Claudio Marchisio both stayed back in Italy after suffering calf injuries in training this week. Giorgio Chiellini will also miss the tie, unable to get back fit from an injury that kept him out of the first leg as well.

Allegri also said that Mario Mandzukic is in doubt and will be a game-time decision, although the Croatian striker did take part in full training with the team on Tuesday.

Juventus have the depth to cope with injuries, but when facing this mighty Bayern side in Munich, it will be a very tall order for The Old Lady to find a result.
