The former Manchester United captain joined Inter in July of 2014, making 23 Serie A appearances in his first year with the club. However, he has not played at all this season after undergoing hernia surgery in August.

Vidic played nine seasons at United and won fifteen trophies with the club, including five Premier League titles and a Champions League title. He was twice named Premier League Player of the Season and made the PFA Team of the Year four times during his tenure at Old Trafford.

Now 34-years-old, Vidic is no longer considered one of the top center-backs in the world. However, he still has a few years left in the tank and could contribute to a team willing to pay his relatively high wages.

Early reports state Vidic is exploring a possible move to Major League Soccer. Inter Milan president Erick Thohir is also the owner of D.C. United, which could be a landing spot should the veteran defender choose MLS as his next stop.
