The DailyStar is reporting that Arsenal could be lining up a bid for Christoph Kramer, who won the World Cup with Germany this summer.

Kramer is owned by Bayer Leverkusen, but is currently finishing up a two-year loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach. He has yet to make an appearance for Leverkusen.

The 23-year-old can play in defense or in a holding midfield role similar to Sami Khedira, another German international that Arsenal have had their eyes on for some time now. With all the injuries the Gunners have suffered, Arsene Wenger has said the club will look to spend during the transfer window.

While one report tabs a German possibly moving to the Emirates, another report pens one out.

Lukas Podolski has seen his minutes drop with the arrivals of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck, and he has admitted that he would one day like to return to his childhood club FC Koln in the Bundesliga.

In 189 league appearances for Koln, Podolski tallied 77 goals, and said he “dreams about” playing for the club again. With his current situation in North London not the greatest, could Podolski see his way out as early as January?
