At half time of the two UEFA Champions League last 16 matches on Tuesday, it is tight and tense out there.

Chelsea are ahead at Paris Saint-Germain thanks to Branislav Ivanovic’s goal, while Bayern Munich are being held by Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

An even first half played out in Paris as Chelsea tried their best to suck the life out of PSG’s attacks and threatened occasionally on the break. In the 33rd minute Cavani made a surging run to the near post from a corner, after breaking away from his marker Nemanja Matic, but his header was clawed out by Courtois.

Chelsea took the lead in the 36th minute as John Terry whipped in a cross from the left which Gary Cahill sensationally flicked on to the back post and Ivanovic headed home. 1-0, as Chelsea’s right back made it three goals in five matches.

In Lviv -- where Shakhtar are forced to play their home games due to the ongoing war in eastern Ukraine -- Bayern have had nearly 70 percent of possession but can’t find a way past Donetsk.
