Memphis Depay has spoken out about his potential move to Manchester United after the Red Devils agreed a fee believed to be around $40 million with PSV Eindhoven on Thursday.
Depay, 21, will fly to Manchester next week for a medical and if that all goes to plan then he will join up with Louis van Gaal’s squad in June when the transfer window reopens.

His imminent arrival sends out a message to the rest of the Premier League that United are already planning for next season with a fourth place finish within reach and a spot in the UEFA Champions League close to being secured for next season.
The Dutch winger will add plenty of competition on the flanks and his 27 goals in 38 games for PSV this season showcases his ability to not only create goals but score them.
Depay took to Twitter to send out the following messages:
“I always say; Dream, Believe, Achieve. I was dreaming and believing of becoming the champions of the Eredivisie with PSV and we achieved it. Now it’s time to set my goals again on winning trophies with Manchester United.”
Speaking to PSV’s website Depay said it would be a “dream come true” to play for United and shared his delight that the Dutch champions reached an agreement with the Red Devils.
“The club and I agree with Manchester United. It’s really fantastic. This is a huge step towards a big league.”
It is certainly a huge step up for Depay after he ran Dutch defenses ragged in the Eredivisie this season. Now, he will be reunited with van Gaal following their spell together with the Dutch national team which daw Depay score twice in Holland’s World Cup wins over Australia and Chile last summer.
