The game in 100 words (or less): Orlando City SC’s inaugural season in Major League Soccer came to an end today, missing out on a playoff berth after a 1-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union. Orlando needed a big win paired with a big New England loss to have a chance at making the postseason, but the cards didn’t fall for Adrian Heath’s side. Despite being eliminated from contention, Philadelphia finished their season strong in front of their home crowd, and it was only right that club legend Sebastien Le Toux scored the winner for the Union. Orlando finishes seventh in the East, while Philadelphia finishes ninth.

Three moments that mattered

15' -- Marquez sees yellow for the Union -- Richie Marquez was given a yellow card for his foul on Cyle Larin, the first of many bookings in the match. Referee Chris Penso handed out 10 yellow cards in Philadelphia tonight, with seven of those going to Orlando players.

41' -- Le Toux penalty puts Philly ahead -- Sebastien Le Toux drew a penalty and then converted it himself to give the Union a lead just before the break. Le Toux was taken down by Cristian Higuita on a cross into the box, and buried the penalty to make it 1-0.

86' -- Cristian Higuita sent off for Orlando -- Higuita was given his first yellow card when he conceded the penalty kick in the first half, and got a second yellow and a sending off late in the match. His suspension will carry over into next season.
