No surprise: Leicester’s Ranieri tabbed LMA Manager of the Year

Many doubted Claudio Ranieri when he became the manager of Leicester City but he proved his doubters wrong by winning the Premier League.

In terms of suspense, the League Managers’ Association’s choice for the top manager in England is a bit of a “Dilly Ding, Dilly Yawn”, as Claudio Ranieri has an individual honor to go with Leicester City’s Premier League title.

The 64-year-old Italian was named the League Managers’ Association manager of the year for his work in guiding the Foxes to the PL crown.

Former Newcastle and Norwich manager Chris Hughton received the Championship’s top honor despite Brighton & Hove Albion falling in the playoffs. The Gulls finished two goals shy of automatic promotion, level on points with No. 2 Middlesbrough.
