League winners five straight years and champions 17 of the past 19 seasons, Olympiacos dominate Greek football.
On their quest for a sixth consecutive Greek Superleague title, they opened the season on a 17-match win streak. The run was the longest streak to start a domestic European season since 2000.

With a maximum 51 points through 17 matches, the champions’ streak was finally snapped on Monday, drawing 1-1 with mid-table Platanias. They are still 16 points clear of second-place AEK Athens.
Ironically, Platanias was the last side to take points off Olympiacos in league play on the final day of last season, a match that also ended a 1-1 draw.
