According to a report in the Sun, Mourinho has been offered at least one job in China and one in Italy since he was fired by Chelsea back in December following a dreadful start for the defending Premier League champs.
Mourinho, 53, has been hanging out in his family home in London since getting canned by the Blues but he is the odds-on favorite to become United’s next manager as they continue to struggle under Louis van Gaal.

Currently six points off the top four with 12 games to go, knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the group stage and having spent $375 million on new players, LVG’s time at Old Trafford has not been a happy one. With news that Wayne Rooney will be out for up to two months with a knee injury -- he joins a list of 13 players currently injured -- the situation isn’t going to get any easier for United’s under-fire Dutch coach.
Some reports have suggested that if the Red Devils fail to win in their Europa League last 32 clash against Danish champions FC Midtjylland on Thursday and don’t get past League One Shrewsbury in the FA Cup on Monday then Mourinho could be in charge by the time Arsenal head to Old Trafford on Feb. 28.
He’s waiting by the phone.
