Zlatan Ibrahimovic sparked plenty of chatter when he answered a question about what he missed most about Paris Saint-Germain with, “I miss my last salary, that is what I miss.”

It’s unclear whether he was completely kidding, referring to the pay cut he took at Manchester United, or was serious with his comment. According to French outlet Expressen, Zlatan’s quip was serious, and the payment making headlines across England and France could be worth around $3 million.

The report adds up his salary payment plus goal bonuses to come up with the number as speculation persists that the club could be refusing to pay out on a total goals scored bonus to the man who scored 156 goals across all competitions.

However, according to PSG, they haven’t done anything wrong, and are simply waiting on routine documentation to pay Ibrahimovic his final salary check.
“The club has always respected its commitments. 48 months of wages have been paid on time,” PSG declared in a statement. “We are now waiting for a document the player is contractually obliged to provide us with to release final bonus payment.”
