Swansea City 0-0 Everton: A snoozy affair in Wales
- Howard, Fabianski pick up clean sheets
- Sides level on nine points
- Gomis misses breakaway wide
There wasn’t a heck of a lot to like from a match-up of Garry Monk and his former manager Roberto Martinez, as Swansea City and Everton drew 0-0 at Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Twenty-nine shots were attempted. Five were on target.
Kevin Mirallas took a red card with minutes to play after going studs up on Modou Barrow.

Bafetimbi Gomis put a breakaway ball past Tim Howard, but the USMNT man had his angles covered as the shot curled wide of the frame.
There wasn’t much to say at half, as both sides had a lot of work to do in terms of entertainment and productivity.
Everton came out of the gates well, and a lively Ross Barkley helped Brendan Galloway to a chance that the young English defender hit low and wide.
Not much to the second half, sadly, though Romelu Lukaku missed a few chances to scoop up a winner for the visitors.
