VIDEO: “Ashamed” and “betrayed” Mourinho blasts Chelsea players

“I feel sorry that I am not a player, because I promise you if I was a player I would face matches in a different way than some of them are doing.”

Are we reaching the end of the line of Jose Mourinho’s second stint as Chelsea boss?

The Blues have lost again, this time a 2-1 defeat at King Power Stadium to top of the table Leicester City.

And Mourinho has had it. He wants to stay at Chelsea, but his players aren’t helping. Eden Hazard subbed himself out of the game, and the others just aren’t following his direction, according to the manager.

From the BBC:

“One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed,” said Portuguese boss Mourinho.

Mourinho went on to say that the Top Four is no longer an option, but that the rest of the league has left the Top Six in play if the Blues get their act together.

What happened? Chelsea battered Porto to advance in the UEFA Champions League, a competition which seems to be their only shot at returning to Europe’s top tournament next season.
