It’s safe to say Eric Bailly’s acrobatic own goal is unusual.
The Manchester United center back’s attempted, well, we don’t know what he was thinking, clearance (?!?) of a Sadio Mane cross pulled Liverpool to within one of the hosts at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils led 2-0 on a pair of goals by Marcus Rashford, and Liverpool barely looked capable of answering on their own merit.
So perhaps it’s fitting that the only way they could get into the goal over the first 80 minutes was via a United mistake.
Bailly was nearly subbed off for an injury immediately following the gaffe, so we’ll wait to see what it was all about.
