Burnley’s safety dreams are all but dead after West Ham United used a first-half penalty to win 1-0 at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday.
The Clarets have 26 points with three matches to play, and would need to win all three and see a complete collapse from several teams in front of them.
Mark Noble’s converted penalty puts West Ham in ninth place with 47 points.

Burnley found themselves in a bad spot early, as Michael Duff chopped down Cheikhou Kouyate in the box to earn a red card and a West Ham penalty. The red may’ve been harsh, but Mark Noble converted the deserved penalty to make it 1-0 Hammers.
The Clarets fought, though, and Adrian had to do very well to stop Ashley Barnes strong header of a Kieran Trippier cross.
