Gary Trent Jr. (knee) and Kevin Porter Jr. (wrist) are out against the Pistons on Sunday.
With Friday’s win over the Pistons, the Bucks secured the fifth seed in the East. They have nothing to play for in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Trent and Porter are among the key contributors who will not play, resting up for the start of the playoffs next weekend. Stanley Umude and Jamaree Bouyea should play rotation minutes on Sunday, and both are extremely risky plays in active fantasy leagues.
  • MIL Small Forward #12
Taurean Prince (knee) and AJ Green (shoulder) are doubtful to play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Both wings are expected to be sidelined for the regular season finale. With Kevin Porter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. also doubtful, Pat Connaughton, Andre Jackson Jr. and Stanley Umude should play significant roles.
  • MIL Point Guard #3
Kevin Porter Jr. (wrist) and Gary Trent Jr. (knee) are doubtful to play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Both reserves are expected to sit out the regular season finale, which isn’t surprising with the Bucks having clinched the fifth seed in the East. Stanley Umude and Andre Jackson Jr. should play significant roles for the shorthanded Bucks.
  • DET Shooting Guard #17
Stanley Umude (right ankle fracture) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Umude has been starting over their last few games, but he has been added to the list of Pistons that are out for the rest of the year. Tosan Evbuomwan, Evan Fournier, Marcus Sasser and Troy Brown Jr. are all players that should take on extra unexpected minutes over the final few weeks of the season.
  • DET Small Forward #19
Simone Fontecchio (left great toe contusion) and Stanley Umude (right ankle fracture) have been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Fontecchio remains sidelined for a third consecutive game, while Umude injured his ankle during Wednesday’s loss to the Pacers. Evan Fournier and Troy Brown Jr. are two players in line for additional minutes due to the injuries, with the former being the better streaming option in deep leagues.
  • DET Shooting Guard #17
Stanley Umude (right ankle injury) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.
Umude started Wednesday’s game and played 22 minutes before exiting. He finished with eight points (3-of-6 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs) and one rebound. Should he miss time, Evan Fournier would move up in the pecking order, especially if starter Simone Fontecchio remains sidelined.
  • DET Center #28
Ausar Thompson (blood clot) and Isaiah Stewart (right hamstring strain) have been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Both players had already been ruled out for Wednesday’s game, with Stewart suffering this injury on Monday and Thompson having already missed five games. Neither will be available during the final 14 games of Detroit’s season due to these ailments. Simone Fontecchio should start when he is available, though he is questionable to play against Indiana. They recently signed Chimezie Metu to a two-way deal, and he should see minutes when he joins the team. Marcus Sasser, Stanley Umude and Evan Fournier should also see a few extra minutes now that the Pistons will be down two starters for the rest of the season.
  • DET Small Forward #19
Simone Fontecchio (left great toe contusion) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.
Fontecchio was held out of Monday’s loss to Boston, and Stanley Umude replaced him in the starting lineup. Umude’s fantasy value, which was non-existent before the spot start, will return to normal levels if Fontecchio is cleared to play.
  • DET Shooting Guard #17
Stanley Umude got the start on Monday and finished with 10 points (3-of-7 FGs), six rebounds, one assist and one triple against Boston.
Umude and Marcus Sasser both started for the first time in their career in this game, as Detroit was without Cade Cunningham, Ausar Thompson and Simone Fontecchio. Sasser finished with eight points, four rebounds and six assists, though he had a poor shooting night. It was a huge opportunity for both players, but neither was able to take advantage. Cunningham should be back for their game, and Fontecchio will have a chance to return as well. Neither Umude nor Sasser will be worth adding off the waiver wire moving forward.
  • DET Point Guard #25
Detroit will start Jaden Ivey, Marcus Sasser, Stanley Umude, Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren against Boston on Monday.
With Cade Cunningham and Simone Fontecchio out, Sasser and Umude will replace them in the starting unit. This will be the first career start for both players, though both have had productive stretches throughout the season. They should be worth streaming as members of the starting unit, even if it is just for one game.
