Raiders signed Notre Dame LB Te’Von Coney.
Coney (6’1/234) was a three-year starter in South Bend, tallying 24.5 career TFLs with seven sacks and allowing just a 50.7 passer rating when targeted in 2018 (PFF). Coney was PFF College’s No. 2-graded off-ball linebacker in the entire country in 2018 for his diverse skill set, shining against both the run and pass and excelling on blitzes. Notre Dame’s leading tackler in 2017 and 2018, Coney managed a 4.72 forty at the Irish’s Pro Day and did 18 reps on the bench. An overachiever who thrives on instincts and competitiveness, Coney is a sleeper to outkick his draft slot as an eventual starting off-ball linebacker.
