Fugger

Fugger’s excellent Pro Day drew a lot of attention, where he ran a 4.60 forty, completed 29 bench press reps, and posted a 34-inch vertical. This only added to his solid senior season which produced 13.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. It was his only real year of production. As a hard hitter with three forced fumbles, Fugger looks like a special teamer at the next level.

A seventh-round pick following a strong Combine, Fugger was limited this summer by his recovery from a sports-hernia operation. Provided he clears waivers, he should end up on the practice squad.

Fugger only had one year of big stats at Vanderbilt, but enjoyed a head-turning Pro Day workout and could fit nicely into new coach Chuck Pagano’s scheme, which doesn’t discriminate against “tweeners.” Fugger goes 6-foot-3, 248. He could end up playing outside linebacker or defensive end for the Colts.

It’s unclear when Fugger underwent his operation, but he’ll begin camp on active/PUP. Fugger wasn’t known to be hurt going into April’s draft. Already a roster longshot, Fugger’s injury likely has him ticketed for the practice squad.

Just in time for his 53-man roster chances. The Combine standout is angling to make the Colts as a special teamer and situational pass rusher.

Fugger, a workout warrior, was the Colts’ seventh-round pick in last April’s draft. Lumkpin spent time on Arizona’s 2012 roster. The above players will all hope to last into training camp with the Cardinals.
