Lions selected Old Dominion WR Travis Fulgham with the No. 184 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Fulgham (6’3/215) went from walk-on to three-year starter at ODU, tallying 128/2,044/18 (16.0 YPR) career receiving and earning second-team All-C-USA as a fifth-year senior. After growing up overseas in a military family, Fulgham’s football experience was limited entering college, and he got better every year. Fulgham turned in 61st-percentile SPARQ results at the Combine, managing a 4.58 forty but showing short-area explosion with a 10-foot-6 broad jump. Well built with 33 ¾-inch arms, Fulgham’s general lack of dominant traits suggests he’ll max out as a No. 3 wideout in the Terrance Williams mold. Luckily, the Lions don’t really have a third receiver on the outside behind Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones.
  • NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein wrote Old Dominion WR Travis Fulgham “has the talent to go get the rock.”
Zierlein describes Fulgham (6'2/215) as a “big, competitive target with above-average ball skills.” Fulgham wasn’t very productive through three seasons at Old Dominion but turned in a massive senior campaign with 1083 yards and nine touchdowns on 63 receptions. It wasn’t a consistent output with four games over 150 yards and five under 50 yards. Zierlein listed athleticism as a potential issue for Fulgham but put those concerns to rest after producing a solid 65th percentile SPARQ athletic composite score at the NFL Scouting Combine. Fulgham likely sits on the Day 3/UDFA border.
  • The Athletic’s Dane Brugler lists Old Dominion WR Travis Fulgham as a potential late-riser playing in the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Brugler has UMass wideout Andy Isabella as the top wideout on his board for the Senior Bowl, but Fulgham (6'3/215) was outstanding at the end of the year for the Monarchs, and finished with 63 receptions and 1083 yards. " Fulgham, who recorded a touchdown in the final nine games of his collegiate career, is a large-framed athlete who is still discovering how good he can be,” Brugler writes. “The Senior Bowl could be a launch pad for his rise.”
  • Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham accepted an invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Fulgham ended the year as hot as any wideout in the country, and he led Conference USA with 1,083 yards on his 63 receptions. At 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, Fulgham has quality size, and scouting reports suggest he’s starting to turn his athleticism into production. Because of his build and his quality finish, he’ll be one of the most intriguing wideouts in Mobile this January.
  • Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline lists Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham as a “sleeper” prospect for the 2019 draft.
Fulgham has come on strong over the past few weeks, and that’s an understatement. He followed up a 10-catch, 215 yard effort with an eight-reception, 155-yard game against North Texas; and he scored a touchdown in both. As Pauline notes, Fulgham has outstanding size at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, and he “is starting to pull the pieces together and translate his athleticism into consistent football production,” he writes. “It could all add up to a draftable grade next April.”
  • Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham registered eight receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 34-31 win against North Texas.
It’s another week and another trip to the end zone for the senior. Fulgham scored his first touchdown in the upset victory against Virginia Tech on Sept. 22 and he has visited the end zone in each of his seven games since. The senior has been particularly hot over the past three contests, rolling up 25 catches, 472 yards and three scores. He’ll try to keep it rolling against non-conference foe VMI next weekend.
  • Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham caught 10 passes for 215 yards with a touchdown in a 51-17 loss to Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
Fulgham (6'3/215) backed up his strong effort against Western Kentucky with an even better effort against the Blue Raiders, but this time it was in a a losing effort. The senior wideout has caught 30 passes over his last four games, and he’s now scored in six straight affairs. It’s just a shame that it’s come in a disappointing season for the Monarchs. Fulgham will attempt to make it seven straight games with a touchdown on November 10 against North Texas.
  • Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham caught seven passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 37-34 win over Western Kentucky.
Fulgham (6'3/215) scored on a six-yard pass in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter, which ODU followed up with a game-winning field goal after WKU missed a long attempt to give advantageous field position to the Monarchs. The senior wideout has now gone over 100 yards receiving in three of his last five games. He’ll try for another big showing against Middle Tennessee next weekend.
  • Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham posted game highs with 10 receptions and 151 yards in Saturday’s 52-33 loss at FAU while visiting the end zone once.
The senior wideout really seemed to build a lot of confidence in the team’s Sept. 22 upset against Virginia Tech. He has rattled off 22 receptions, 371 yards and three touchdowns in the three-game span, including a score in each outing. He’ll look to add to the streak when Marshall pays a visit to the Tidewater next Saturday.
  • Old Dominion senior WR Travis Fulgham rolled up 188 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions in Saturday’s 49-35 victory against Virginia Tech.
It was an unexpected performance considering the Monarchs entered the game 0-3 and Fulgham had mustered just five total receptions for 64 yards and no scores during the losing skid. This was Fulgham’s first 100-yard performance since Sept. 16, 2017 when he had 102 yards and a score against North Carolina, and it was just the second 100-yard game of his career. He’ll try to keep the momentum going next Saturday at East Carolina.
