Cardinals TE Zach Ertz (knee) is questionable for Week 1 against the Commanders.
Ertz was limited in practice throughout the week, but feels like a legitimate toss up to play in Week 1. Ertz is coming back from a torn ACL suffered late last season, and last week that he’s uncertain whether or not he’ll be able to suit up for the opener. A questionable designation is a good sign, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Ertz listed inactive on Sunday. If he does play, Ertz will be hard to trust in fantasy with Trey McBride also mixing in to the tight end rotation.

    Redskins waived WR Tre McBride.
A former Dynasty-league darling, McBride made zero regular season appearances in 2018. He turns 27 in December.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Redskins signed WR Tre McBride to a reserve/future contract.
McBride most recently turned heads on the Jets’ practice squad before being waived. Unless he makes a name for himself on special teams, we can’t imagine McBride sticking among Washington’s plethora of young wideouts. He hasn’t experienced NFL action since Week 12 of 2017 with the Bears.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Titans WR Tre McBride said he is “a lot more comfortable” this year.
“Internally, I know I can play in the league,” McBride said. “Now it is just about whenever I get the opportunities, maximizing it.” The 2015 seventh-rounder had a trying rookie season in which he spent much of his time on the practice squad. He did participate in seven games, but he caught just two passes for eight yards and a touchdown. He faces another tough road to the roster this year in a crowded receiver room. He will need a strong camp to grab a spot.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Titans promoted WR Tre McBride from the practice squad.
A former Dynasty-league darling, McBride was waived at final cuts. He caught two passes in seven games last season.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Titans signed WR Tre McBride to the practice squad.
The 2015 seventh-rounder was waived at final cuts. McBride got some love as a Dynasty sleeper as a rookie, but was active only seven times.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Bears claimed WR Tre McBride off waivers from the Titans.
The No. 245 overall pick of the 2015 draft, McBride began his career as a revered Dynasty league sleeper. He proceeded to catch two passes in two years, spending more time on the practice squad than active roster. Going on 25, he’ll compete for snaps at the back end of the Bears’ wafer-thin receiver corps.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Titans seventh-round pick Tre McBride explained that he is working as Kendall Wright’s backup at OTAs.
Like Wright, McBride is practicing at “F” (slot) and “Z” (flanker) in Ken Whisenhunt’s offense. McBride is well built at 6-foot, 210, but the Titans’ decision to place him at Wright’s position suggests the coaching staff views McBride as a possession-type receiver. Once Dorial Green-Beckham’s hamstring gets healthy, he will begin pushing Justin Hunter at the “X” (split end) spot.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Titans signed seventh-round WR Tre McBride, sixth-round C Andy Gallik, and fourth-round DL Angelo Blackson to four-year contracts.
The draftniks love McBride, but he tumbled all the way to the seventh round thanks to a “diva” attitude and a potential ankle issue. It wouldn’t be a shock if he made the team. McBride is worth a dart throw late in Dynasty rookie drafts.
  • FA Wide Receiver
ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky expects the Titans to “find a way to keep” seventh-round WR Tre McBride.
The Titans have a lot of bodies at wideout, while WRs coach Shawn Jefferson has called McBride “raw.” At best, the small-school product out of William & Mary would be the No. 6 receiver, and likely a weekly inactive on Sundays. The Titans would be keeping McBride more for 2016 than this season.
