Titans signed RT Tyler Marz to replace RT Dennis Kelly (illness) in Week 2 against the Texans.
The Titans were already without Taylor Lewan (concussion) and Jack Conklin (knee) Sunday. Backup RT Dennis Kelly was suddenly hospitalized with a virus Saturday, forcing Tennessee to sign undrafted Tyler Marz from their practice squad for a spot-start. The Titans could be without Marcus Mariota (questionable, elbow) as well, potentially leaving a second-string offensive line to protect Blaine Gabbert.
  • Titans signed Wisconsin OL Tyler Marz.
Marz (6'7/316) made 40 starts as the Badgers’ left tackle, earning third-team All-Big Ten as a senior. Marz was exposed as a sub-NFL-caliber athlete at the Combine, running 5.54 with a 27 1/2-inch vertical and only 19 bench-press reps. He also has fairly short arms (33 1/8"). Marz got the job done at Wisconsin, but he isn’t physical, powerful or athletic enough to make it in the pros.
