    Titans released OLB Vic Beasley.
The Titans came into the offseason desperate for pass-rushing help, but this signing seemed like a disaster from Day 1. Beasley was late to report to training camp and then proceeded to make just 3.0 tackles across five games. Tennessee is bottom-three in sacks (7.0) through eight weeks and still find Beasley worth releasing. He signed a one-year, $9.5 million contract this offseason.

Titans LB Vic Beasley (knee) is inactive for Week 2 against Jacksonville.
This comes as a surprise after Beasley practiced fully the last two days. He’ll miss his second straight game with training camp a knee injury. Beasley looks like a good bet for a Week 3 return.

Titans DL Vic Beasley (knee) is out for Week 1 against the Broncos.
Beasley failed his initial training camp physical and hasn’t made a good impression in Tennessee this offseason. This week, Beasley had two limited practices and one did not participate. He’s likely week to week. The rest of the Titans’ front seven can hold their own without Beasley’s presence.

Titans activated DL Vic Beasley off the NFI list.
Beasley’s roster status wasn’t a lock after he reported to training camp late. He’s spent the last month on NFI with an undisclosed injury. Coming off a long layoff, it’s possible Beasley could be inactive in Week 1.

Titans placed DL Vic Beasley on the active/PUP list.
The “summer of Vic” rolls on. Having reported more than a week late, Beasley promptly failed his physical. It could be something as simple as not passing the conditioning test. Whatever it is seems unlikely to be serious. Beasley’s Titans career has gotten off to the most curious of starts.

Titans DL Vic Beasley reported to training camp for COVID-19 testing on Friday.
Beasley was MIA during the first few days of camp with “no communication on why or where” he was. Signed to a one-year ‘prove-it’ deal after underwhelming with 18 sacks and 25 quarterback hits for the Falcons the past three seasons, the 28-year-old’s $500,000 in fines can undoubtedly become water under the bridge as long as he proves valuable as an EDGE for a team that finished with the eighth-lowest pressure rate (21.1%) and 22nd in hits behind the line of scrimmage (84) last year. He’ll partake in activities as early as next week if his virus tests come back negative.

Titans GM Jon Robinson said he recently made contact with DE Vic Beasley, and he will report to the team in the “near future.”
Beasley was a no-show for the first two days of camp, but it sounds like he’s going to be in the building soon enough. Some wondered if Beasley was contemplating opting out of the season, but that doesn’t appear to be the case at this point. Tennessee is hoping Beasley can revisit his 2016 self when he led the league with 15.5 sacks.

Titans DL Vic Beasley didn’t show up for COVID-19 testing for a second straight day.
No one seems to know why Beasley has gone MIA for virus testing. NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport reported that “there has been no communication on why or where he is” after the Titans placed Beasley on the “reserve/did not report” list yesterday. Tennessee signed the former Falcons first-round bust to a one year deal worth $9.5 million in the offseason.

Titans placed OLB Vic Beasley on the Reserve/Did Not Report list.
Odd, and we aren’t sure why. Beasley was brought in on a one-year, $9.5 million contract this offseason after busting as a first-rounder in Atlanta. Missing the day one of camp on a new team is suspect, but there could be good reason for it. The Titans are hoping Beasley can be a solid rotational pass rusher in 2020. His best season came back in 2016 when he compiled 15.5 sacks.

Titans agreed to terms with OLB Vic Beasley, formerly of the Falcons, on a one-year, $9.5 million contract.
The Titans had one of the league’s better defenses last season despite lacking an elite pass rush. Beasley has never lived up to his 15.5-sack form from 2016, but he has registered at least five quarterback takedowns each of the past three years. A 73 percent snap player last season, Beasley would probably be more effective in a more limited role.
