Pantoja

Pantoja signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks back in March. The 24-year-old lefty has been released after allowing 14 runs on 15 hits with a 7/9 K/BB ratio across 11 1/3 innings (nine appearances) this season for Double-A Amarillo.

Pantoja spent the last seven years in the Red Sox’ minor-league system, but hasn’t pitched above High-A yet. The 24-year-old lefty posted an intriguing 4.83 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 73/17 K/BB ratio across 50 1/3 innings (37 appearances) last year at High-A Greenville. He’ll serve as organizational relief depth for the Diamondbacks.
