No word yet on what occurred, but Yelich was lifted for pinch-hitter Gary Sanchez in the fifth inning of a one-run ballgame, which is never a good sign. Expect Brewers’ skipper Pat Murphy to provide an update on Yelich’s status after the game if we don’t hear anything before then.

Merrill Kelly (back) will be activated from the injured list to make his season debut against the Orioles on Tuesday.

It had been assumed that Kelly would slot into the Diamondbacks’ rotation at some point next week and now we have official word that it’ll be on Tuesday. Fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before inserting him right into lineups.
George Springer

TOR Right Fielder #4

Blue Jays placed OF George Springer on the 10-day injured list with a fractured big toe.

Springer suffered the injury as he fouled a ball off of his foot during Saturday’s contest against the Twins. He’s going to miss at least a couple of weeks of action while recovering. Eloy Jimenez was promoted from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday to take his place on the Jays’ active roster.
Julio Rodríguez

SEA Center Fielder #44

Julio Rodríguez homered and doubled in an 8-7 win for the Mariners over the Astros on Saturday.

Not only did Rodríguez get his first homer of the season with a 426-foot tank to center, it was a big one as it tied the game at 7-7. He also doubled for his first multi extra-base hit game of the season. Rodríguez has been a notorious — maybe the most notorious — slow starter in baseball, but there’s simply no denying that he’s among the best talented players regardless of position. Cal Raleigh also homered, and it appears the big boys for Seattle are starting to pick it up.
Shohei Ohtani

LAD Starting Pitcher #17

Shohei Ohtani hit a leadoff homer to help the Dodgers to a 6-3 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Ohtani blistered a solo homer leading off the game for the Dodgers to tie the score at 1-1. The 31-year-old has now homered four times in 13 games, which puts him just a smidgen under a 54-homer pace. For many hitters, that’s unsustainable. For Ohtani, it’s just another season. He also pitches. It’s pretty fun to watch, honestly.
Jeremy Peña

HOU Shortstop #3

Jeremy Peña was pulled from Saturday’s game against the Mariners with right posterior knee tightness.

Peña was unable to continue after advancing on a single in the fourth inning, and was replaced by Nick Allen. The 28-year-old will almost assuredly undergo testing, and his status for the upcoming two games against the Mariners and beyond will largely be determined by those results. If Peña misses time, Allen will likely see that time at shortstop.
Mickey Moniak

COL Right Fielder #22

Mickey Moniak homered twice but the Rockies fell 9-5 to the Padres on Saturday.

Moniak continues to clobber right-handed pitching since joining the Rockies, and he hit two of the three homers Colorado was able to procure against Germán Márquez. The 27-year-old is now slugging .800 on the young season with five homers and nine RBI, and fantasy managers in need of outfield help should take a long look at Moniak. Ride the hot hand.
Logan Webb

SF Starting Pitcher #62

Logan Webb allowed four runs on five hits in six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Webb walked three and struck out six while posting a 25 percent whiff rate and throwing 64 percent of his pitches for strikes. Webb has struggled a bit with the ABS strike zone because he’s simply not getting the same amount of called strikes on fringe pitches that he used to. He was already a pitcher who could hurt your WHIP in fantasy, so this has not been a great development. We wouldn’t sell low because he remains a strong pitcher who could bounce back, beginning next week against the Nationals.
Willson Contreras

BOS 1st Baseman #40

Willson Contreras went 2-for-4 with three RBI in a 7-1 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

After going 1-for-18 to start the season, Contreras has really started to come around. He now has hits in eight of his last ten games and has eight RBI on the season. Your buy-low window may have closed, but it could be worth making an offer just to see.
Jordan Walker

STL Right Fielder #18

Jordan Walker went 1-for-3 with a walk and a home run in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

It was a true three-outcome game for Walker, who walked once, struck out twice, and hit a 429-foot home run off Garrett Whitlock that left the bat at 109.6 mph. Walker has all kinds of power and is now up to six home runs on the season. There remain some swing-and-miss concerns in his game, but he put in plenty of work to fix his swing path and overall hitting mechanics this offseason, and something seems to have clicked. If you can get a dependable, high-end fantasy contributor in a trade for him, you can feel free to shop Walker, but this is not some ticking time bomb that you need to get away from. There is legitimate breakout potential.
