Brodric Thomas played 26 minutes in Wednesday’s 84-73 win over Memphis, accounting for 14 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, one assist, two steals, and two 3-pointers.
The Clippers outscored the Grizzlies by a 26-18 margin in the fourth quarter, with Thomas and Xavier Moon doing most of the damage. And the timing couldn’t be better for the former, who’s trying to get back into the NBA after being waived by the Celtics last October. Thomas’ status won’t impact fantasy basketball, but he’s someone who could land a training camp invite.
  • BOS Center #28
Mfionodu Kabengele hit 6-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 20 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in Tuesday’s Summer League win over the Warriors.
Kabengele is having a fun Summer League but the Celtics are loaded and it’s going to be tough for him to make much of a dent again this season, especially in fantasy. Justin Jackson led the way with 24 points and Juhann Begarin added 21 points in the win over the Warriors. Brodric Thomas also had a nice game with 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in the win.

  • BOS Point Guard #20
Rookie JD Davison and Brodric Thomas “are expected to compete” for a full roster spot this summer and in training camp, according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic.
Davison, an athletic guard who was selected with the 53rd overall pick in last month’s draft, is expected to sign his two-way contract soon. However, he may not be limited to two-way status according to Weiss. Davison and Thomas, who played sparingly after joining the Celtics last season and is also on a two-way contract, will compete for a full contract throughout Summer League and training camp in the fall. This competition is unlikely to have an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned, as Davison and Thomas are stuck behind a serious logjam on the perimeter.

  • Shooting Guard #30
Brodric Thomas (back) will be available to play on Monday vs. the Pacers.
He’s also a negligible part of the rotation in Boston and is safe to leave on the waiver wire in all formats.

  • Shooting Guard #30
Brodric Thomas (lower back soreness) is probable for Monday’s game against the Pacers.
Thomas hasn’t played much when healthy this season, so his pending return will not have an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Leave him on your league’s waiver wire.

  • Shooting Guard #30
Brodric Thomas (back) is ruled out for Wednesday’s game vs. the Spurs.
Thomas will miss a third straight game and even if he were healthy, he wouldn’t hold any weight in fantasy hoops. Leave him on the waivers.

  • Shooting Guard #30
Brodric Thomas (lower back soreness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Magic.
Thomas has not been a rotation player on most nights when healthy, so this news will not have an impact in fantasy basketball circles.

  • Shooting Guard #30
Brodic Thomas has cleared the health and safety protocols and he’ll be available to play on Monday vs. the Timberwolves.
He’ll help backup Payton Pritchard at the point tonight, but we wouldn’t anticipate him earning enough minutes to make a difference in fantasy hoops.

  • BOS Point Guard #11
Payton Pritchard will draw his first start of the season on Monday vs. Minnesota with Marcus Smart (hand) unavailable.
Pritchard is coming off a solid, 16-point game, so he makes sense as a streamer tonight as he could see major minutes as one of the last few PGs standing in Boston. Brodric Thomas will help back him up tonight, but Pritchard is the guy you want to target in fantasy hoops.

  • BOS Center #42
Al Horford (health and safety protocols) is being listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Bucks.
Horford is one of 12 Boston players in protocols, eight of which have been officially ruled out, so Horford not being able to play could cause some problems. Among other guys in protocols that are listed as questionable are Juancho Hernangomez, Jabari Parker and Brodric Thomas.
