The Orioles are “really working on” signing Chen Wei-Yin, reports Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun.
Baltimore inked Tsuyoshi Wada to a two-year deal on Monday but apparently isn’t done looking across the ocean for pitching help. Wei-Yin, 26, is younger and a harder thrower than Wada. He will also cost more money and require more years. The lefty has a nice fastball and an average slider. He’s 28-20 with a 2.41 ERA in 466-plus innings over three years for the Chunichi Dragons in Japan.
