    If Rusin doesn’t have soreness, he’ll go out on a rehab assignment, perhaps as soon as Friday. He’s been on the 10-day disabled list since July 24 with left plantar fasciitis. Rusin should be ready to rejoin the Rockies bullpen in the middle of August.

    The left-hander has been on the disabled list since the beginning of the year due to a mid-back strain, and thee Rockies have taken precautions with the southpaw. “We’re being cautious, and we want to build up his innings,” Bud Black told reporters on Wednesday. Expect Rusin to be back with the Rockies in the early part of June if there are no setbacks.
