Washington wide receivers Puka Nacua and Terrell Bynum were not on the field for warmups ahead of Saturday’s game vs. Stanford.
It’s unknown why either wide receiver is out, and the same can be said for QB Ethan Garbers and linebackers Ryan Bowman, Cooper McDonald and Laiatu Latu. If any are dealing with COVID-19 related issues, be it a positive test or contact tracing protocols, the concern beyond that is whether or not they’ll be available for next weekend’s showdown with Oregon in Eugene.

  • KC Linebacker #59
Washington received a verbal commitment from three-star 2020 LB Cooper McDonald.
McDonald (6'3/220) announced his decision Tuesday afternoon, becoming the 13th verbal commit in Washington’s 2020 class to date. The three-star linebacker from Justin, Texas (Northwest HS) took his official visit to Washington the weekend of June 7, and he also checked out Colorado and Utah last month. Washington beat out those two conference rivals and Baylor for McDonald, who’s also an established track and field athlete (gold medalist in the discus at the Texas 5A state championships in May). He is also the Huskies’ second 2020 commit from Texas, joining three-star running back Jayveon Sunday.
