Les Miles started off the third and final day of SEC Media Days talking about how he spent his summer rappelling down a building and researching hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Then he spoke with an Australian accent.

But on a more serious note, the LSU coach did address the ongoing “legal entanglement”, as Miles put it, involving running back Jeremy Hill. The sophomore pleaded guilty last week to a charge of simple battery stemming from his involvement in a fight outside a bar in April.
At the time, Hill was already on probation for a previous misdemeanor charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, which was reduced from a felony charge of oral sexual battery. Hill has a probation hearing a little less than a month from now, at which time his future with the team, and as a free man, will become a lot clearer.
In the meantime, Miles said Hill remains indefinitely suspended and “separated” from the team and his teammates.
“We’ve visited with Jeremy Hill on a routine basis, but he hasn’t been involved in workouts,” Miles said. “He hasn’t been allowed in our building.”
