As expected, Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno and quarterback Matt Stafford are leaving the school with eligibility remaining, and entering the NFL draft.”Very tough decision,” Moreno said, according to the AJC. “I went home, talked to family members about the pros and cons of leaving. I came to the decision to leave early to pursue my career in the NFL. It’s a life-long dream. It’s been awesome coming to Athens. It’s like a second home to me. “Moreno finished last week his redshirt sophomore season. He had two years of eligibility remaining. His departure raises another important point -- especially as it relates to running backs. College coaches need to use them while they have them. Because if they’re any good, they’re gonna leave after three years, even if they were redshirted for one of them.Stafford possibly could be the first pick in the draft, and he’s likely praying every night that the Lions trade down.
