And despite what current economic numbers may indicate this election season, business is at an all-time high for Oregon.
The No. 2 Ducks have jumped out to an early 28-0 35-0 42-0* lead over Colorado... in the second quarter. Kenjon Barner already has over 100 yards rushing and two scores -- when will Barner get in the Heisman discussion? -- and De’Anthony Thomas isn’t far behind with 97 yards rushing and a punt return for a touchdown.
Marcus Mariota is playing efficiently with eight completions for 121 yards and a score. In all, Oregon is outgaining the Buffs 340-64. Backups could very well be in by the start of the third quarter.
The numbers for Oregon are impressive, but to be expected. Conversely, watching and/or rooting for Colorado football has to be one of the great pains of the 21st century.
(*Yes, Oregon scored twice in the middle of writing this post)
