    Loeffler sustained a lower-back fracture in Sunday’s loss to the Falcons. Jared Allen actually came on as the long snapper, but the Vikings will make other plans going forward.

    Details are unknown. Loeffler was scheduled to earn $775,000 in the final year of his deal. A former walk-on at Texas and undrafted free agent, Loeffler is in his eighth season as the Vikings’ long snapper. The 30-year-old has been a consistent snapper, but has only three tackles over the past two seasons.
