Colts promoted LB Daniel Adongo and OT Xavier Nixon from the practice squad.
A native of Kenya, Adongo is an ex-rugby player from South Africa who had no prior football experience before reporting to Colts camp. Obviously, his snaps are going to be extremely limited if he lasts on the active roster, but he’s an interesting prospect. Adongo’s contributions should be limited to special teams if he’s active for Week 14.

Colts re-signed LB Daniel Adongo to a one-year contract.
An exclusive rights free agent, Adongo missed the majority of last season due to a biceps injury. He’ll compete for a depth role and can contribute on special teams. Adongo has appeared in two games since 2013.

Colts LB Daniel Adongo will not play Week 14 because of an ongoing criminal investigation.
Police responded to Adongo’s home Thursday morning after a female resident of the house sent a text to a friend indicating she needed help. Adongo had already left for the Colts’ practice facility before the police arrived, and the woman did not request medical assistance and could not explain why she sent the text when police were at the house. Officers at the scene filed a report and forwarded it to the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office. The Colts released a statement saying they are aware of the investigation but are still gathering facts.

    Colts waived LB Daniel Adongo.
Adongo was inactive last week after police were called to his house because of reports of a domestic incident. There have been no developments in that investigation, and it is unclear if this move has anything to do with the incident. No charges have been filed against Adongo at this time. CB Devonta Glover-Wright was added from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Free agent LB Daniel Adongo isn’t facing charges in the domestic incident that caused his release from the Colts.
The special teams type will try to latch onto someone’s 90-man roster in January.
