Jaguars DT D’Anthony Smith (toe) says he’s 100 percent.
A 2010 third-round pick, Smith missed all of 2011 with a torn ligament in his toe after missing his entire rookie season with a torn Achilles’ tendon. Smith is still only 23 years old, but will be on the roster bubble until he proves he’s healthy.

Jaguars placed DT D’Anthony Smith on injured reserve with a neck injury, ending his season.
The move clears a spot for new DE Jason Babin. Smith sustained the injury along with a concussion in Wednesday’s practice. Jaguars DT D’Anthony Smith is on the roster bubble.
Deservedly so. Smith, the former third-round reach by since-fired GM Gene Smith, has missed all but eight games in his three-year career, and he’s amassed just ten tackles. The Jaguars added Roy Miller, Sen’Derrick Marks, Kyle Love, and Brandon Deaderick to their defensive tackle rotation this offseason.

    Seahawks waived DT D’Anthony Smith.
It’s a bit of a surprise after Smith signed a “one-year extension” earlier this month, though his deal didn’t include any new guaranteed money. Acquired from the Browns at final cuts, Smith was active for two of the Seahawks’ first three games, making five tackles. It’s possible he’ll get plucked off waivers.

Lions claimed DT D’Anthony Smith off waivers from the Seahawks.
Fellow DT Justin Bannan was released in a corresponding move. A third-round pick of the Jaguars in 2010, Smith, 25, made five tackles in two games with Seattle. He’ll provide depth behind starters Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley.

Seahawks signed DT D’Anthony Smith to a one-year contract extension through 2014.
In the final season of his four-year, $2.64 million rookie deal, Smith will make a non-guaranteed $570,000 in 2014. It’s the league minimum. Smith wasn’t active for Sunday’s opener.

Seahawks acquired DT D’Anthony Smith from the Jaguars in exchange for undisclosed future draft-pick considerations.
The Jags did well to get anything for Smith, who wasn’t drafted by their current regime and has done nothing in the league besides get injured since being a top-75 pick in the 2010 draft. A theoretical gap-shooter at 6-foot-2 and 298, Smith will compete for playing time at three-technique tackle in Seattle.

Seahawks signed DT D’Anthony Smith, DB Akeem Auguste, WR Phil Bates, DT Michael Brooks, DT Dewayne Cherrington, WR Arceto Clark, TE Cooper Helfet, and OG Jared Smith.
All eight players won Super Bowl rings as members of the Seahawks practice squad. D’Anthony Smith is a former third-round pick of the Jaguars whom the Seahawks acquired via trade last August. Jared Smith was a seventh-round pick by Seattle in last April’s draft.
