Deividas Sirvydis suffered an ankle injury while playing pick-up last week and will miss some time.
Sirvydis signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Pacers in August, so it was likely more of a longshot for him to make the final roster anyway. This setback will probably guarantee that Sirvydis doesn’t begin the season with the team despite a solid Summer League performance with the Pelicans.

According to HoopsRumors’ Michael Scotto, the Pacers and Deividas Sirvydis have agreed to a one-year deal.
Sirvydis, who played well for the Pelicans’ Summer League team in Las Vegas, will be allowed to compete for a roster spot with the rebuilding Pacers. While details about the contract are unknown, this is likely an Exhibit 10 contract instead of one of the guaranteed variety. Sirvydis isn’t a player worth targeting in any fantasy drafts, but landing with the rebuilding Pacers should give him a credible opportunity to earn a guaranteed roster spot.

Deividas Sirvydis came off the bench and hit 9-of-17 shots and 6-of-10 3-pointers for a game-high 25 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and a block in 27 minutes of Wednesday’s easy 106-88 win over the Wizards.
The former Mav and Piston looked fantastic tonight but will just be hoping to land on an NBA roster this season. Jared Harper, on a two-way contract for the Pels, had 18 points, six assists, three steals and a block and hit 10-of-14 free throws on the night. And Daeqwon Plowden, a fifth-year wing out of Bowling Green State added 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, a steal and three triples on 6-of-9 shooting. Plowden has quickly become a fan favorite and has had an impressive Summer League, giving him a shot at potentially making the team before it’s all said and done. But none of these guys are likely to be fantasy targets for the Pelicans.

The Pistons are signing Deividas Sirvydis to a 10-day contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Pistons have been hit hard by COVID-19 issues, hence the need to bring Sirvydas back into the fold. A second-round pick of the Mavericks in 2019, Sirvydas spent two seasons with the Pistons before being waived in September. He has since been playing for the team’s G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise.

The Pistons have waived SF Deividas Syrvydis.
They made the move in order to sign Jared Cunningham to a training camp invite, but neither player makes a difference in fantasy.

  • FA Small Forward #91
The Pistons have re-signed free agent Deividas Sirvydis, the team announced.
Sirvydis was selected by Detroit with the No. 37 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but he spent the 2019-20 season overseas. Sirvydis joined the club last season and ended up appearing in 20 games during the 2020-21 campaign. He averaged just 2.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.7 minutes per contest. He’ll fight for one of the remaining spots on the Pistons 15-man roster during training camp.

  • Point Guard #10
The Pistons have waived veteran point guard Cory Joseph, Deividas Sirvydis and Tyler Cook.
After a stint with the Kings, Joseph made 19 appearances for the Pistons last season and put up career-numbers of 12.0 points, 5.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.7 triples. He shouldn’t have much trouble finding a backup PG role elsewhere but it’s hard to imagine him making an impact in fantasy leagues.

Deividas Sirvydis went off for a career-high 16 points on Friday, but he also bruised his left calf and didn’t return after 19 minutes of action.
Detroit’s coaching staff clearly gave Sirvydis a mandate to shoot the ball, and that freedom resulted in easily the best game of his nascent NBA career. “He’ll benefit from the G League and going back and forth,” coach Dwane Casey said after the game. “He needs the experience and strength and for his body to fill out.” The rookie didn’t do much else with one rebound and one turnover, though, and it was unfortunate to see his career night cut short by injury. We’ll consider him questionable to play in Sunday’s season finale.

Deividas Sirvydis (not with team) will not be available for Wednesday’s season opener.
Sirvydis is likely to spend most of his rookie season in the G League so he’s not worth rostering in most settings.

Deividas Sirvydis has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with the Pistons.
Sirvydis was selected by Detroit with the No. 37 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but he spent the 2019-20 season overseas. The Pistons already have 15 guaranteed contracts on the books for the 2020-21 season, so Sirvydis will need to beat out one of those guys at training camp to land a spot on the regular-season roster. Despite the three-year deal, Sirvydis may spend most of the year in the G League.
