Eagles fired VP of Player Personnel Ed Marynowitz.
He was handpicked as coach/GM Chip Kelly’s right-hand man this past January and is getting the boot with Kelly. Howie Roseman was kicked out of the GM chair in favor of Marynowitz, and now Roseman will be part of the group that conducts the new coach/GM search for the Eagles.
  • Eagles hired Ed Marynowitz as VP of Player Personnel.
The January power struggle between Chip Kelly and Howie Roseman resulted in Roseman getting promoted out of personnel decisions and Kelly getting to choose a new right-hand man for player evaluation. After a month-long search, he settles in-house on 30-year-old Marynowitz, who worked under Nick Saban at Alabama before joining the Eagles in 2012. “I can’t tell you how well thought of Ed is in the scouting business,” Kelly said.
