Kenley Jansen slammed the door on the White Sox on Friday night, retiring the side in order to protect a one-run advantage.
The 38-year-old hurler wasn’t messing around in this one, needing just 10 pitches (six strikes), including a strikeout of Tristan Peters to end it. Jansen has now converted seven saves on the season while posting a 4.32 ERA and a 21/9 K/BB ratio over his 16 2/3 innings of work.
