It’s theoretically possible Seager is cleared to return at some point later this week since he’s resumed baseball activities and even went through a couple simulated innings during Tuesday’s on-field workout. The 32-year-old shortstop has been out with a concussion since June 12.

Seager has played just 51 games for the Rangers this year, hitting .182/.292/.374 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI. He’s also sporting a career-high 26.9 percent strikeout rate. The Rangers will want to ensure that he’s 100 percent healthy before bringing him back, but they are also sitting in first place in the AL West and will want to hold onto that advantage. We should have a better idea os Seager timeline at the end of the week.

Seager was lifted for rookie Cameron Cauley prior to his first at-bat of the contest. The 32-year-old fantasy stalwart has been snake-bitten by injuries this season, as he’s battled back issues in addition to missing time with a concussion earlier this month. There should be an update on his status following the contest.

Corey Seager went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in the Rangers’ 7-4 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Seager drew a walk and scored the first run for the Rangers on a base hit in the first inning. He later took Braydo Fisher deep for a solo homer in the sixth. It was his first since June 11, following a stint on the concussion injured list. The 32-year-old shortstop is up to ten on the season while slashing .185/.290/.380 with 28 runs scored and 25 RBI across 214 plate appearances.

Seager was just activated from the concussion injured list on Thursday, so it’s likely that the Rangers are simply easing him back into action and giving him a day off with a left-hander on the mound. Ezequiel Duran will start in his place at shortstop and bat sixth for the Rangers against Patrick Corbin and the Jays.

The 32-year-old slugger has cleared the concussion protocol and will make his return to the Rangers’ lineup for Thursday’s showdown against the Blue Jays. He’ll start at shortstop and bat third against Jays’ right-hander Kevin Gausman on Thursday evening in Toronto.

There isn’t a definitive return timeline, but it sounds possible he’s ready to return later this week, which would be a positive development for the Rangers and fantasy managers.

Seager was set to miss his fourth consecutive game during Monday’s series opener against the Twins due to mild concussion symptoms, according to the club. The 32-year-old was involved in a home-plate collision last Thursday against the Red Sox and began experiencing symptoms afterwards. There is no timetable for his return at this juncture.

Not great. We’d seen no sign of Rodón being hurt in his last start, so hopefully this is something that just needs to be managed rather than something that could lead to surgery. More updates to come, assuredly. Rodón had a 3.30 ERA in nine starts so far this year, striking out 52 and allowing just 32 hits in 46 1/3 innings pitched.
