Konnor Griffin (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Wednesday.
Griffin was placed on the 10-day injured list back in May with a forearm strain, and after significantly upping his throwing program in the last few days, he’s now ready to face pitching at the minor-league level. The 20-year-old won’t be rushed back, but assuming there are no setbacks, there’s a good chance Griffin is back with the Pirates and helping fantasy managers around the end of June.
