Hunter Goodman capped off a five-run uprising in the ninth inning with a go-ahead two-run homer on Friday, but it still wasn’t enough to lead the Rockies past the Twins.
The Rockies were held scoreless through the first seven innings on Friday and faced a 7-0 deficit heading to the eighth. They scored three runs in the eighth to pull a bit closer, then Goodman’s two-run shot capped off a five-run ninth that gave the Rockies an 8-7 advantage. Unfortunately, it would be short lived, and they would fall in 10. Goodman finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .240/.307/.510 with 22 homers and 42 RBI on the season.
