The 30-year-old slugger is hitting a solid .259/.322/.451 with 14 homers, 38 runs scored, and 50 RBI across 323 plate appearances.

Burger broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning with a two-run homer off Jason Adam, a 408-foot blast to center field. The 30-year-old slugger is up to 13 homers and 46 RBI while slashing .249/.308/.443 across 299 plate appearances. He’s hit particularly well over the last two months, with a .278 batting average since the start of May.

Jake Burger went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk in a 6-4 win over the Royals on Wednesday.

It was amazing to see Burger play such a huge role in a game that he didn’t even start. Pinch-hitting for Joc Pederson when a lefty reliever came in for the fifth inning, he wound up reaching base three times and drove home the tying run in each the seventh and eighth innings. The first of which came on a solo home run, Burger’s 11th of the season to go along with 41 RBI in what’s been a nice bounceback campaign.

Joc Pederson was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Royals with left hip discomfort.

Pederson was replaced by Jake Burger at DH in the fifth inning after going 0-for-1 with a walk. The streaky 34-year-old slugger will undergo further evaluation to determine the severity of the issue and whether he’ll need a trip to the injured list. There should be an update on his status prior to Thursday’s series finale.

Jake Burger popped his ninth homer of 2026 on Wednesday against the Rockies, finishing 2-for-5.

Burger’s homer brought him up to 33 RBI this season, which is tied for third-most in the American League. He’s been hot lately, having entered Wednesday with a .458 average over his past seven games. He’ll look to stay hot following Texas’ off day on Thursday. The team next visits the Angels for a three-game weekend set.

Jake Burger went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, four RBI, and two runs scored as the Rangers shut out the Astros 8-0 on Sunday.

The homer was his eighth of the season as the first baseman has started all but three games for Texas. Burger’s barrel rate is down a couple ticks from prior years, but he’s always been a streaky hitter who hits for power in bunches. Timing those can be difficult in fantasy, and his pitcher-friendly home park doesn’t help. A three-game trip to Coors to begin the week could see him heat up, however.

Jake Burger went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Wednesday, propelling the Rangers to a 6-5 comeback win over the Diamondbacks.

Burger took Diamondbacks starter Ryne Nelson deep in the fifth inning to put the Rangers ahead. It was his seventh long ball of the season and second time he’s gone deep since May 1. The -year-old first baseman came through in the biggest moment of the night when he smacked a game-tying single against Arizona’s veteran closer Paul Sewald with two outs in the ninth inning before Danny Jansen followed with a game-winning single.

Back in the lineup after two days off to work on his swing, Jake Burger went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Monday against the D-backs.

Burger did get to first base on a forceout in the eighth, only to be immediately removed for a pinch-runner. He’s at .204/.238/.355 for the season. He has a .260 OBP since the beginning of 2025, which is the worst mark in the league for anyone with at least 400 plate appearances.

Jake Burger was held out of the Rangers’ starting lineup once again on Sunday to work on his swing.

The 30-year-old slugger is slashing a ghastly .208/.242/.362 on the season, so taking a couple of days off to retool his swing isn’t the worst idea in the world. Justin Foscue will start in his place at first base and will bat ninth for the Rangers against Jameson Taillon and the Cubs.

Jake Burger is out of the lineup Saturday and will likely sit again Sunday to do some work on his swing.

Burger is hitting just .208/.242/.362 this season, and he’s sitting at -0.4 fWAR in 141 games since the Rangers acquired him prior to last season. The team doesn’t have any good options to replace him, so the plan for now is just to hope for the best.

Burger has been ice-cold of late, hitting .140 (8-for-57) with one long ball and four RBI over his last 15 games. He’s left the yard only twice since a two-homer outburst back on April 13. It’ll be rookie Justin Foscue getting a look at the cold corner with righty Edward Cabrera toeing the rubber for Chicago on Saturday evening.
