Kevin Gausman left Tuesday’s start against the White Sox with a trainer.

The encouraging news here is that Gausman appeared to be dealing with an issued related to his non-throwing hand, which led to his early departure. He was charged with three runs on seven hits, including a solo homer by Munetaka Murakami, over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out five and only issued two walks. There should be an update on his status following the contest.

Victor Mesa Jr. was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Orioles with left hamstring discomfort.

Mesa has been battling a lingering hamstring issue, which caused him to miss three games earlier this week. It sounds like he could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list since he lasted just four innings before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in his return to Tampa Bay’s lineup.
