Hamilton (hamstring) has hit in first rehab game

Anderson was a key member of the Brewers’ bullpen this year with a 3.36 ERA in 59 innings across 52 appearances this season. It remains to be seen what his timeline is for a return.

Sproat will return in a relief role, but with Brewers manager Pat Murphy also considering moving Kyle Harrison into the bullpen, there’s a chance Sproat and Harrison could form some sort of tandem. In Triple-A, it seems like the Brewers have significantly dialed back Sproat’s cutter usage, leaning into the four-seamer as his primary fastball and upping the usage of all his secondaries. We’ll see if the results improve at the big league level.

Over his last 20 games, Sogard is hitting .289/.372/.526 with four home runs, 14 runs scored, and 10 RBI. He has the second-best wRC+ on the Red Sox over that stretch, so this is just a day off. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will start in his place at second base.

With Jonah Tong coming up for a start, the Mets will opt to send down Hagenman, who was recalled last Wednesday to make a short three-inning start. He’ll need to remain in the minors for about two weeks before he can be an option for the Mets again.

Tong will make his first MLB start since June 3. It’s been a tough season for him in Triple-A. Tong has battled some issues with his command en route to a 4.54 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 126/59 K/BB ratio in 107 innings at Syracuse. That’s a nearly 13 percent walk rate. We should note that he also has looked much better of late, posting a 0.84 ERA with 23 strikeouts over his last four starts. This is a nice landing spot for him, but he remains a risk in fantasy leagues because you are banking on small-sample command gains carrying over to the big leagues.

Ritter has appeared in just 16 games for the Rockies in 2026, going 3-for-19 with an 8/1 K/BB ratio. Adael Amador will remain on the roster instead, with Kyle Karros (concussion) now off the IL.

Karros was placed on the concussion injured list on August 23, so he missed over two weeks of games. Connor Norby will shift back to second base, which means that Adael Amador may struggle to get into the lineup unless the Rockies are willing to start him over Ezequiel Tovar.

Acton had pitched really well for the Twins this season, but he allowed four runs on two hits on Sunday while walking three in just 1/3 of an inning. That was the second time he’d pitched in three days, so the Twins will send him down to get a fresh arm up in the bullpen.

Ryan has been on the injured list for about a month, but the Twins are watching their playoff hopes slip away, so they will bring their ace back after one 42-pitch rehab start. In that start, Ryan’s velocity was down a couple of ticks, averaging just 91 mph on his four-seam fastball, but it’s also unlikely he was really letting it fly. He should be limited to about 60 pitches in this game, so we’d still probably sit him on fantasy benches, but you can roll the dice if you’re hoping for a two-start week.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani would have hit for Alex Call in the eighth Sunday night had there been any runners on base at the time. As it turned out, there wasn’t, so Call got to hit for himself with none on and two outs. He singled, Tommy Edman walked and then Mookie Betts hit a three-run homer, giving the Dodgers a 7-5 lead that stood up against the Nationals. Barring something strange, Ohtani will DH and hit in the leadoff spot Monday.
