Twins activate Connor Prielipp for Sunday return

The Phillies held out hope that he would bounce back after being shut down from throwing for a couple days, but he’s not feeling 100 percent after being diagnosed with shoulder inflammation. The positive news is that an MRI didn’t reveal any structural damage and he isn’t facing an extended absence. The 28-year-old southpaw finishes the season as a top-10 fantasy starter, posting a pristine 2.87 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 221/52 K/BB ratio across 178 2/3 innings over 29 starts. The official roster move will be made prior to Tuesday’s game against the Nationals. Luzardo can be safely dropped in all redraft formats.

It’s an extremely positive sign that Caglianone is ready to roll after making an early exit from Sunday’s game against the Red Sox following a hit-by-pitch. The 23-year-old slugger made his return to Kansas City’s lineup after missing five games with a flexor strain earlier in the week. He’s put together a phenomenal second half, hitting .323 (51-for-158) with eight homers, 35 RBI and three steals in 43 games since the All-Star break.
