Walker Buehler allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Padres’ 5-3 victory over the Marlins on Sunday.

Buehler gave up four hits, walked two and struck out seven. He allowed two runs in the second inning with the unearned run coming after Liam Hicks stole third base and scored on a throwing error by Luis Campusano. In the third inning, Buehler allowed a solo home run to Kyle Stowers, but otherwise kept the Marlins off the scoreboard. He has a 5.13 ERA. Buehler is lined up to face the Giants at home next weekend.

Walker Buehler didn’t factor into the decision after giving up three runs in 4 1/3 innings Saturday against the Giants.

Buehler was shaky throughout the outing, and he allowed eight hits and two walks with just one strikeout. The former Dodger ace was awful in July with a 9.82 ERA, and August isn’t off to much better of a start. He’ll get a chance to get going again versus the Diamondbacks on Thursday, but fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option for that contest.

Walker Buehler pitched 5 2/3 innings of two-run ball Tuesday in a win over the Braves.

Buehler allowed just two hits, which allowed him to work around five walks. He’s issued 17 free passes over 22 innings in his last five starts, three of which were rather ugly. Still, even though he has a 5.23 ERA and isn’t pitching very deep into games, the Padres are an impressive 13-7 in his starts this season. He’s due to face the Marlins on Sunday.

Walker Buehler allowed four runs over two innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Buehler had horrendous control of his arsenal with four walks and just 34-of-65 pitches landing in the strike zone, and yet he was Greg Maddux compared to Trey Yesavage (seven walks, 20-of-59 pitches for strikes). The right-hander has just not looked the part as of late, and he’s seen his ERA bump up to 5.36 from the 3.81 it sat at just four outings ago. Buehler’s next start will come after the All-Star break, but it sure seems like his place in the San Diego rotation should be up for debate.

Walker Buehler surrendered seven runs in five innings Monday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Buehler struck out four and walked one. He gave up two homers, the first of which was a three-run shot from Max Kepler. Buehler allowed exactly one run in all five of his starts in June, but he’s opened July by giving up 16 runs in nine innings, leaving him with a 5.07 ERA. The Padres don’t have any better alternatives right now, so Buehler should face the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Walker Buehler took the loss on Wednesday at Wrigley, allowing nine earned runs on seven hits over four innings pitched.

Buehler allowed three homers and four walks while striking out six. The Padres’ pitching staff gave up eight long balls, which tied a Cubs franchise record. Buehler had allowed two runs or fewer in all but one start dating back to May 10. Unfortunately, outings like Wednesday are the risk one runs with a pitcher of his caliber, even if his tenure in San Diego has been a modest bounce-back from recent seasons. He’ll look to rebound at home against the Diamondbacks next time out.

Walker Buehler pitched 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball Friday in a victory over the Dodgers.

Buehler allowed three hits, walked three and struck out five against his former team. Mookie Betts homered off him in the second, but that proved to be the only damage on the evening. Buehler improved to 5-3 with a 3.81 ERA in beating his original franchise for the first time. Nothing much about his numbers bodes particularly well going forward, but he is a reasonable mixed-league option at home against the D-backs next week.

Walker Buehler allowed one run with seven strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rangers on Saturday.

Buehler was excellent against the Rangers on Saturday. He scattered three baserunners through five scoreless innings before Texas broke through with a run on two hits in the sixth. Buehler’s day would be done at 87 pitches with one out in the inning. He tossed 60 pitches for strikes and generated 13 whiffs to strike out seven batters. The 31-year-old right-hander will take a 3.96 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and a 65/23 K/BB ratio across 72 2/3 innings into a start against the Dodgers in San Diego on Friday.

Walker Buehler yielded one run in five innings and struck out five versus the Orioles on Sunday.

Buehler went without a walk today, dropping his walk rate to 7.7 percent of the season. That’s still slightly above his career average of 7.3 percent, but it’s a big improvement over his 10.8 percent from last season, and it’s helped him post an adequate 4.14 ERA even though he’s still not missing nearly as many bats as he used to. He’ll face the Rangers in Texas next weekend, making him a decent streaming choice.

Walker Buehler allowed one run and eight hits over 4 2/3 innings Monday against the Reds.

He’s probably not getting a plaque for it, but Buehler is the first pitcher this year to allow eight hits in an outing of fewer than five innings and allow only one run. He struck out four and walked two before coming out a 1-1 game with two on and two out in the fifth. Buehler deserves credit for keeping the Padres in the game every time he takes the mound, but he’s shown little in the way of upside while going 3-3 with a 4.33 ERA. He’ll face the Orioles on Sunday.

Buehler allowed four hits and two walks against the team he pitched for late last year. The 31-year-old gave up just two runs in the same matchup last time out. He’s pitched well enough to stick in the Padres rotation but remains off the fantasy radar. Buehler’s next outing lines up at home against the Reds.

He’s probably about due to go on one of those runs in which he allowed six runs in three of four outings, but through 23 starts this year, he’s 10-5 with a 3.36 ERA and 164 strikeouts, which ranks sixth in the majors. He’ll face the Blue Jays on Sunday.

That’s more runs than he allowed in six starts in March and April (eight in 37 innings) or in five starts in May (seven in 30 2/3 innings). Martin opened the year 8-1 with a 2.00 ERA, but since the beginning of June, he’s 1-5 with a 6.79 ERA. His peripherals aren’t as bad as his ERA, so maybe he deserves to keep his rotation spot for now. He’s on thin ice, though. He’ll face the Guardians on Sunday.
