It’s challenging to trust Burnes right away in shallow mixed leagues, but his lengthy track record suggests that he’s a worthwhile option in deeper fantasy leagues.

Strowd provides Arizona with a fresh bullpen arm heading into the final two games of their current series against Kansas City. He’ll presumably see action in long relief following Corbin Burnes on Tuesday night.

The writing was on the wall after Carrillo was charged with four runs and recorded only one out in the 10th inning of Monday’s contest against the Royals. Fortunately, the Diamondbacks were able to hang on for the extra-inning win, but it took a remarkable escape by Dennis Santana to make it happen.

The 24-year-old offers enough offensive upside to be interesting for fantasy purposes, but this has been a lost season due to hamstring and ankle injuries that have limited him to just 22 games so far.

Caglianone takes a seat for the third consecutive game after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 flexor strain in his left elbow. It’ll be Matthew Lugo drawing another start in right field on Tuesday. There was optimism the 23-year-old burgeoning star would avoid a trip to the injured list and nothing has changed on that front for now. The Royals have an off-day before they kick off a three-game series against the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Friday night. There should be additional clarity on his status leading into that contest. However, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Rutschman takes a seat, along with Mickey Gasper and Jarren Duran with the Red Sox rolling out a righty-heavy lineup against Angels southpaw Reid Detmers. It’ll be lefty-mashers Jahmai Jones and Andruw Monasterio getting into the lineup with Connor Wong behind the plate. The 28-year-old backstop has been playing through a lingering elbow issue since early September, but it hasn’t forced him to miss too much time.

DeLauter takes a seat for the fourth consecutive game with a right wrist sprain. There’s been little indication that the Guardians are considering a trip to the injured list with manager Stephen Vogt telling reporters that he was feeling a lot better prior to Monday’s series opener. It’s worth noting that Cleveland is off until Friday following Wednesday’s series finale, which means they can afford to take their time here. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It’ll be Angel Martínez taking over in right field with Jo Adell at DH.
