Wyatt Langford is out of the lineup for Wednesday’s showdown against the division-rival Angels.

Langford receives a much-needed mental break to reset after going 2-for-21 over his last seven games. The 24-year-old fantasy standout was tearing the cover off the ball before hurting his foot back in late July. He’s batted .094 (3-for-32) with one homer and one stolen base across 10 games since the start of August.

Dave Flemming, Brian Roberts and Brian Anderson assess what has fueled the Tampa Bay Rays' offensive success this year, where small ball and excellent plate discipline played major roles.

Willy Adames (back) was held out of the Giants’ starting lineup for the third consecutive game on Sunday.

While the Giants have yet to place Adames on the injured list, it has to be a growing consideration at this point. It may actually be in the Giants’ best interest just to shut him down for the remainder of the season to ensure that he gets right heading into 2027. Fantasy managers who are relying on him for next week should have a contingency plan in place to be on the safe side.
